Blue Diamond Pumps stocks an extensive range of pumps suitable for use in both aquatic and hydroponic applications. The range includes both air and liquid pumps in varying flow rates, from a single tank or home growing system up to aeration for large koi ponds and fish breeders.
Budget Air Pumps
The ACO series of super quiet air pumps are a low cost solution for providing aeration to a aquatic tanks or hydroponic pot systems. The oil free design of the ACO series produces a large output of purified air due to its high efficiency and compact design. With low power consumption and long service life, energy and costs are saved. With the option of multiple outlets the ACO series allows several processes to be run from a single pump.
The SS/ACO 96 series of super quiet air pumps are ideal for oxygenating nutrient reservoirs or aquariums for optimum health. The non-oil lubricated design of the SS/ACO 96 series produces a large output of purified air due to its high efficiency and compact design. With low power consumption and long service life, energy and costs are saved. With metal outlets, the SS/ACO 96 series allows several processes to be run from the same pump.
Ideal for driving air through tubing and into air stones at high output, the super silent SSH/ACO 98 series is an ideal air pump for oxygenating multiple hydroponic systems or large koi ponds where great amounts of oxygen are needed.
The V series air pumps are ideal for larger hydroponic tanks and aquariums; they allow several air stones to be run from one pump so that a large amount of water can be aerated at one time. The filter cover on each pump can be removed so that clean air can be drawn from outside the grow room or tank house, making them ideal pumps for both aquatic and hydroponic applications.
Premium Air Pumps
Envir-o pumps are the most robust pumps in the air series. They feature specially formulated diaphragm material for extended life, thermal protection and a robust metal casing which reduces noise and ensures the blowers are suitable for outdoor use. Applications are vast and include aeration in multi pot grow systems, deep water culture and aeration of koi ponds though to lakes. This range is approved for both the USA and Canada and comes complete with a multi year warranty.
Using the same technology as the envir-o® range the ETK series incorporates the Blue Diamond cool air technology which diverts the flow of air through the aerator coils to reduce running temperatures and dry condensation. They are specifically designed for use in hot, humid environments. The ETK series range of air pumps ensures that there is plenty of water movement in wastewater applications; this boosts oxygen levels in the water, allowing aerobic bacteria to decompose. When used in medical applications, the ETK series provides a high low at low pressure.
The Envir-o ETA Series comes complete with an integral alarm system which utilities pressure sensing technology to alert the user to routine service intervals or a blockage in the system. The series was designed for Koi ponds and growing systems where pump down time can cause expensive loses. The standard ETA unit comes complete with loud integral buzzer and LED light but additional options include a 230V output which can be wired into an external alarm or telemetry system.
ETX Series pumps offer the lowest power consumption in their class. Two models are available in both 60 and 80 l/min versions which prove the most popular sizes for home ponds. Noise and vibration levels are minimal so they are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. As with all our Envi-o models the ETX is suitable for intermittent or continuous duty applications.
Submersible Liquid Pumps
The HX series is an excellent way of creating water movement in specific locations. Available in a variety of sizes, they can be placed in areas where oxygenation is poor or where debris collects, alternatively, if using within an aquarium, currents can be created when more than one pump is used.
Ideal for pond aeration, filter systems or water features, the T series can be used as a submersible pond pump or external pond pump. The T series is suitable for continuous use where reliability is vital and with a professionally designed low power motor, it provides excellent value.
Ext Mounted Submersible
The HX 88 series make ideal aquarium and hydroponic pumps as they can be either submerged or extremely mounted. The water pump creates a water flow in order to increase oxygen levels which benefit a range of aspects from nutrient solutions, live plants, beneficial bacteria and fish.
Ideal for pond aeration, filter systems or water features, the T series can be used as a submersible pond pump or external pond pump. The T series is suitable for continuous use where reliability is vital and with a professionally designed low power motor, it provides excellent value.

Chillers
Plant roots require a good flow of oxygen - more oxygen can be held by water when it is at lower temperatures. Using a chiller for hydroponic systems can highly benefit the rapid and healthy growth of plants. Chillers can also be used to combat the high water temperatures associated with aquariums, sometimes due to high-intensity lighting or warmer outside temperatures.
Alternatively, use in the same way but for the heating of hydroponics or aquariums if required.
Accessories and Air Stones
Used with an air pump and tubing, air stones can be used in hydroponic systems, fish tanks or ponds to distribute bubbles and, therefore, raise the oxygen levels directly in the water.
Manifolds allow several processes to be run from the same pump, multiple outlets allow numerous air stones or air curtains to be connected, helping to easily raise oxygen levels in a hydroponic tank or aquarium.
Tubing is ideal for both hydroponic and aquatic applications for connecting a pump to an air stone in order to raise oxygen levels.
The check valve is designed to be used with an air pump to avoid water being sucked back into the pump, causing damage. Its outlet size is 0.16".
The tube diffuser features a fine pore flexible membrane which provides maximum oxygen transfer efficiency; the high-quality EPDM and silicone construction materials ensure long service life.
AC Compressors
The AC piston range of air compressors are suitable for applications where high pressure is required to provide a continuous supply of oil free air. Used in conjunction with air stones or diffusers, they are suitable for the aeration of larger hydroponic growing systems or aquatic tanks.
